1 beach + 1 hour = 200+ plastic bottles!
A whopping 60+ volunteers made it down to our April clean up. It was the 2nd time joining forces with the Anse Forbans Community Conservation Programme, Chalets d'Anse Forbans and Hilton Doubletree.
A special shout out goes to the 20+ volunteers from Mason's Travel Seychelles, our friends from the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association as well as the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Mr Alain Decomarmond, who turned up to help.
FYI, we collected over 150kg of trash in just one hour!
Whilst these numbers are always saddening, it was really special to see so many parents coming to clean up with their kids - to teach them about marine plastics; why they shouldn't litter; why they should pick up litter and care about the environment. Parents, if you keep this up, you can raise a generation of eco-warriors. The power is in your hands!
